Flowered Concrete Set To Embark on Zines To Reach Your Dreams Literacy Tour

On March 3rd, my dear good friend/business colleague Alton Taylor and I will embark on a literacy workshop tour through our Flowered Concrete publishing press. The name of the tour will be called “Zines to Reach Your Dreams” Workshop Series. Last year at this time, both Alton Taylor, (25) & Kevin Anglade (24) were wondering how exactly they would grasp the attention of readers for their first book reading which took place at the Richmond Hill branch of the Queens Library in May of 2014.

Furthermore, the two had such a successful event that the Assistant Coordinator of Youth Services for the Queens Library system by the name of Melissa Malanuk, caught wind about it and booked Anglade for a poetry workshop back in December (you can read about it here).

Going forward into the new year, both Taylor and Anglade are excited to announce that they will be traveling throughout various parts of Queens and will visit several libraries for what will be called the Zines To Reach Your Dreams workshop series.
